Energia, Ireland’s greenest energy supplier has partnered with Borrisoleigh Bottling Limited to provide the Tipperary water supplier with renewable energy.
This partnership is in line with Borrisoleigh Bottling’s dedication to protecting the environment, which includes a commitment to overcoming the reliance on single-use-plastic as a bottling solution. Their product range includes environmentally sensitive packaging such as 88% plant-based cartons with tethered caps made from sugarcane, as well as sustainably sourced, quality Irish water.
Borrisoleigh Bottling Ltd (BBL) products are bottled on site in the small village of Borrisoleigh and their plant has brought new life and much needed employment to rural Tipperary.
Dermot Honan, CEO of Borrisoleigh Bottling Limited said: “Borrisoleigh is home to the well that produced Ireland’s first nationally accredited natural mineral water, so we fully understand the importance of protecting our natural resources. Partnering with Energia allows us to do just that, as we lead the industry towards a more responsible and sustainable future.”
Alan Mulcahy, Head of Sales with Energia said: “We are excited to be supplying Borrisoleigh with 100% renewable energy for their plant in Tipperary. Like Energia, Borrisoleigh Bottling is passionate about sustainability and committed to supporting Irish communities. They have already taken considerable steps forward to protect the environment and we look forward to supporting them as they continue to do so.”
Renewable energy is tailor made for Irish businesses and Energia makes switching to clean, renewable energy easy. In a world tackling climate change, getting energy from clean sources shows customers, investors, employees, and the wider community that businesses are serious about commitments to sustainability, and decreasing their carbon footprint.
