Energia announces home energy price reduction
Energia will reduce home energy prices, effective from 01 March 2024. The decision to reduce home energy prices is the second such reduction the company has announced in 6 months.
- Energia Smart Meter Electricity plan customers will see a reduction of 7.5% on their unit rates or an average of €105 per year based on the average annual bill.*
- Energia Smart Meter Dual Fuel plan customers will see a reduction of 7.5% for Elec and 5% for Gas on their unit rates or an average of €170 per year based on the average annual bill.*
- Energia Electricity customers will see a reduction of 7.5% on their unit rates or an average of €129 per year based on the average annual bill.*
- Energia Dual Fuel customers will see a reduction of 7.5% for Elec and 5% for Gas on their unit rates or an average of €194 per year based on the average annual bill.*
- Energia Smart Meter Electricity plan customers will see a reduction of 7.5% on their unit rates or an average of €105 per year based on the average annual bill.*
- Energia Gas customers will see a reduction of 5% on their unit rates or an average of €65 per year based on the average annual bill.*
- Gary Ryan, Managing Director of Customer Solutions, Energia Group said: “This latest price reduction, the second in 6 months, follows our 20% reduction introduced in October 23. This reflects our ongoing commitment to provide the best possible value and service for customers. Furthermore, we have continued our focus on innovation and energy efficiency, by offering the greater overall reduction in costs for smart meter customers since prices began to decrease in the market.

Over 1.4m smart meters are already installed in Ireland. Energia is supportive of these next generation electricity meters which provide accurate billing, access to energy management solutions and new energy services through Energia’s App, thereby assisting households reduce their carbon footprint.
